As anglers, we spend many hours outdoors and it is inevitable that we will be exposed to the sun and its harmful UVA & UVB rays. It is well documented at just how dangerous this can be. As part of Korda’s drive to raise awareness of the dangers of overexposure to the sun, we set about working with a professional pharmaceutical company to develop our own high strength sunscreen designed with anglers in mind.  Korda factor 50+ high protection sunscreen uses an advanced dermatologically tested formula that provides water resistant protection against harmful UVA & UVB rays and is supplied to the NHS, MOD and RNLI to mention a few. The formula is unfragranced, fortified with vitamin E and comes in handy, tackle bag 50ml sized tubes. As part of Korda’s continuing support for cancer charities, 100% of the profits from the sale of sunscreen are donated to charity.

A favourite of DF's in the winter months. This unique snood can also be worn as a beanie style hat, thanks to its dual-purpose design. It has a twisted tube construction, which can be worn on your head like a normal beanie hat, but it can also be untwisted to create a tube which can be worn around your neck as a snood. The Quick Dry Shorts are perfect for fishing during the warmer months as they have been designed for use in the water, much like a pair of swimming shorts. When temperatures soar and you don’t want to be sweating in waders, these are the perfect option for walking out into the water to cast out, bait up, or play fish. The Quick Dry Shorts are comfortable to wear and ready for if and when you do want to go in the water in them. They have a shorter fit and are made from a soft-touch 100% polyester microfibre. A mesh inner layer means that they can be worn without underwear, which allows them to dry quickly in the sun. They feature an elasticated waistband, with a push-stud fastener and zipped fly, and a draw cord allows them to be fastened more securely when you do choose to go in the water. This classic polo shirt is made from our Dry Kore material and is perfect to wear on the bank, as it is both functional and stylish. The lightweight material is both breathable – plus there is additional ventilation under the arms via aeration holes – and fast drying, should you get wet unexpectedly. The Polo Shirt retains its shape even after numerous washes and is very comfortable to wear, and they are great either in the summer or as an extra layer in the colder months – or even down the pub with your mates! Merino wool is a great material to make socks from as it not only helps to regulate body heat so as to help prevent sweating, but also wicks moisture away from the skin if you do sweat at all. This Merino blend material traps pockets of air which will help keep your feet warm in even the harshest of conditions, plus they have the advantage that even if they become damp they still maintain their insulating qualities, which is ideal when you are out on the bank in all weathers and if your footwear leaks at all. The material also has anti-bacterial properties. The toes and heels are shaped such that the socks will stay in place on your feet and they come far enough above your ankle that your trousers won’t ride up above the top of them.
