Korda now offers an extensive range of clothing which includes pretty much any item that you can think of, and all of it has been designed specifically for outdoor use, and angling in particular.
The focus with all of our clothing is on it being functional and including surprising design tweaks which make it even more practical for outdoor use, and to make you feel even better when you are wearing it.

But part of the focus has also been on it looking good on you as well and providing a great fit, as traditionally some fishing clothing has looked more like it has just been thrown on a person and hangs off of them! All of our garments are actually tailored so that they fit properly, whilst still allowing you the freedom of movement that you need.
Exactly which clothes you choose from the range will largely come down to personal taste, and even within our team of Korda anglers, that varies greatly.
Here we take a look at exactly what Darrell Peck wears for most of his fishing during the spring, and why he has chosen those particular garments at a time of year when the weather can be unpredictable.
Minimal Tee - from our extensive range of t-shirts
Ideal for those who prefer a more understated design of t-shirt, which feels great to wear thanks to the soft, velvety fabric used to make it.
The Minimal t-shirt only has a very subtle Korda logo, in the form of a signature, on the left breast, and comes in a choice of black, burgundy, dark olive, and classic white – Darrell favours the black version.

It is made from a mixture of 60% cotton and 40% polyester material, which is perfect for keeping you cool and wicking moisture away from your skin on those hotter days, and also feels great against your skin.
It has been designed to withstand regular use on the bank and washing, without losing its shape, colour or fit, so if it becomes your favourite – like it has done for Darrell – you know you’re going to get plenty of use out of it.

Lightweight Hoodie
The Korda Lightweight Hoodie has been Darrell’s first choice of garment to wear over his t-shirt, pretty much ever since they first came out, and in most of his films you will see him wearing either the black or olive green versions of it.
It is a great choice during the spring when you can need an extra layer in the evenings or mornings, or even on those cooler days or where you have the wind in your face and it isn’t warm enough for a t-shirt on its own.

It can also be worn under a jacket if needed – one of our warm ones or a waterproof like the Drykore MK2 – without being too warm and becoming uncomfortable or making you sweat.
The Lightweight Hoodie is made from a mixture of cotton, polyester and Spandex, which allows for a fairly snug fit, but one which still plenty enough stretch that it won’t impede your movements – it certainly doesn’t stop Darrell from putting his rigs or Spombs a very long way when he needs to cast!

Unlike many hoodies, whilst it fits your body snugly, it is fairly loose around the neck and the cuffs, so as to allow good airflow. As well as the black and olive green colours which Darrell prefers, it also comes in Light Kamo.
Original Kombats
Korda Original Kombats have been around for many years now, but are still a favourite of anglers such as Darrell, and are a great choice during the warmer months.
Our Kombats are incredibly practical for use outdoors as they are based on the classic military design, but using a 150gsm ripstop fabric to make them lightweight and extremely durable, as well as being quick-drying if you do get caught out in rain or get them wet when kneeling down to deal with a carp on the mat.

This material will also wick away moisture from your legs and stop sweat running down to your socks, to keep you feeling comfortable on hotter days, as well as helping to prevent mosquitoes from biting you through them.
The pockets provide plenty of storage for everything from your wallet and car keys through to your bite alarm remote, or even boilies when baiting up a margin spot by hand, it is no wonder that anglers such as Pecky are such big fans of these trousers.

Boonie Hat
When it comes to headwear, it is a very personal choice and whilst some of it does have advantages in terms of functionality, a lot comes down to what feels comfortable for you to wear and what suits you.
Whilst many anglers favour some sort of cap from our extensive range, when Darrell isn’t wearing some sort of beanie hat when he needs to keep his head warm – he tends to favour the Klassic Beanie for that – you will see him in his favourite Korda Boonie Hat.

Unlike a cap, the wide brim on these boonie-style hats offers all-round protection from the sun, so not only will it keep the sun out of your eyes, but will also help to prevent your neck from getting burnt.
So not only is the Wide Brimmed Boonie Hat very practical for spotting fish, thanks to reducing glare, it also helps you to stay cool, and if you do get caught out in a spring shower it stops water dripping down your neck as well, as you never know what the weather has in store at this time of year.

It is no surprise that Darrell is wearing one of these hats in some many of his photos of him holding big carp during the warmer months of the year!
Classics sunglasses from our range of premium fishing clothing
Sunglasses are another item where a lot comes down to personal preference and style, as well as how well a particular design fits the shape of your face.
The most important thing is that they have polarised lenses to allow you to see through the surface and down into the water, and which also help to increase contrast and make colours stand out more, thus making it easier to spot fish, or even clear areas to fish on – and once he finds them, there is usually no stopping Darrell when it comes to catching!

His choice when it comes to polarised sunglasses are the Korda Classics, which as the name suggests are based on a classic design that has become timeless.
They might not be as fashionable as some designs in our range, but when it comes to spotting fish, they are a great choice as the lenses give good coverage, and with little gap between the frame and your face for unwanted light to leak into.

They are also very comfortable to wear, even for prolonged periods of time – to the extent you might forget that you even have them on still – and provide a secure fit so that you aren’t constantly having to adjust them when peering down into the lake.
