The range of Korda Polarised Sunglasses will not only help you to catch more fish but will also ensure that you look stylish whilst doing so, as there is a model to fit everyone’s taste.
This range includes a wide variety of different shaped frames and lens colours – 11 different combinations in total, plus frame-only options for those who need prescription lenses – to fishing situation in differing light levels, whilst also being comfortable to wear and fitting the shape of your face.
Polarised lenses
The main purpose of a pair of fishing sunglasses is of course to make it easier to spot fish, whilst also reducing strain on your eyes if you’re spending long periods of time outdoors by a lake, and with the associated glare that comes with that.
Brown, grey or yellow lenses
All of the models feature polarised lenses, and these come in a variety of different colours across the range – a yellow lens is great in low light conditions where you want to enhance the natural light; whilst a brown lens is more suited to bright sunny days where you want to cut out harsh light; and a grey lens is a real all-rounder and suited to pretty much any light conditions.
This means that to really get the best from your fishing sunglasses, it is actually a good idea to carry a couple of pairs with different lens colours, or if you do just want one pair, then pick a lens colour that suits when you are likely to be using them the most – for instance, if you mainly fish in the evenings, when the light is fading, then it makes sense to choose a pair with a yellow lens.
Secure, comfortable fit
It's also important to choose a pair that fits the shape of your face, and ideally prevents too much light from entering at the side of the frames and negating the job that the polarised lens is doing.
Plus of course, you want a pair that feels comfortable to wear and that you don’t need to be constantly adjusting – this quickly becomes annoying - or worrying about them slipping off when leaning over the water. Obviously a lanyard ensures that you won’t actually lose them if they do come off, but when watching fish you don’t want to be moving your hands around to adjust them, as that movement and potential glare from your forearms and palms of your hands could actually spook the carp!
Fashionable and great value
Whilst the main focus is of course functionality, we do of course want you to look good whilst wearing the Korda Sunglasses, both on the bank and whilst out and about in your local high street, down the pub, or in any situation where you’d normally wear sunglasses, so we’ve developed a range of stylish frames that wouldn’t look out of place in a fashion boutique!
We’ve made sure that the range has something to fit any budget or angler, and even if you wear prescription lenses, like Korda’s Danny Fairbrass and Neil Spooner both do, you can still purchase two of the most popular models – Classics and Shoreditch - as a frame-only option.
THE KORDA SUNGLASSES RANGE:
Korda Classics Pro Sunglasses
The Korda Classics Pro were one of the first models of polarised sunglasses that we ever brought out, and as the name suggests this is a traditional design of a classic that has stood the test of time.
It is still a design that would be considered fashionable though and will comfortably fit most face shapes, thanks to the large lenses and functional frames. These won’t look out of place when worm whilst walking down the high street, sat in a beer garden, or relaxing on the beach.
And you’ll be getting great performance whilst protecting your eyes, thanks to the polarised lenses. The lenses on the Classics Pro are thicker than those found on the standard model of Classics, and so offer even more polarisation and better definition, as well as cutting out more glare.
The Classics come in a choice of three different versions: matt tortoiseshell frame with brown lenses; matt black frames with grey lenses; and demi-tortoiseshell frames with yellow lenses. Each pair is supplied with a zipped hard case to protect them, and with a special cleaning cloth that won’t damage the polarised lenses.. A frame-only version is available for those of you who wear glasses, so you can have your own prescription lenses put in them.
Korda Classics Sunglasses
The Classics Pro was such a popular design that we wanted to make them even more easily available to anybody, even those on more of a budget, resulting in the Korda Classics.
They still feature the same shape of stylish tortoiseshell frame, synonymous with the Classics Pro, and which provides a great fit, whilst also looking the part whether you are on the bank trying to spot carp, or are wearing them away from fishing, such as when you’re out walking the dog or on holiday with the family!
The main difference is that the lenses are slightly thinner than those found on the Classics Pro, but they are still polarised and come in a brown colour, making them suitable for even the brightest days. They come supplied in a cloth drawstring bag, which also doubles up as a lens cloth.
Korda Shoreditch Sunglasses
Shoreditch is the area of East London which is the city’s quintessentially trendy district, and the style of these polarised sunglasses reflects that, hence the name.
Whilst the stylish tortoiseshell design frames of these glasses mean that you wouldn’t look out of place in a fashionable bar or whilst on holiday, they are also a highly functional pair of fishing sunglasses that will help you to catch more carp, thanks to the high quality polarised lenses. They come with brown lenses, which are great for most light conditions, and which make them a real all-rounder.
The large lenses and way that they fit your face, make them great for spotting fish whilst also being very comfortable to wear – to the extent that you’ll forget that you’re even wearing them after a while.
Supplied in a zipped hard case to protect them, and with a special cleaning cloth that won’t damage the polarised lenses. For those of you who wear glasses, a frame-only option is available so that you can have your own prescription lenses fitted.
Korda The Ronnie Sunglasses
The Ronnie model of Korda polarised sunglasses is another example of how we’ve managed to combine a stylish look with a design that is incredibly practical for fishing.
The style of these frames wouldn’t look out of place in a high end fashion outlet and they’re very different to traditional fishing sunglasses, to the extent that they can be worn anywhere, not just on the bank.
The arms are constructed from wood, which not only gives them a premium look and feel, but also makes them strong and great for sustainability. The frames fit well and are comfortable to wear, with rubberised nose pads to ensure they comfortably sit on the bridge of your nose and won’t slip when you move your head around – such as when looking down into the water.
The biggest difference though between these and other fishing sunglasses it that they only have a partial frame, with the bottom half missing, and this design maximises your vision when looking downwards, as you would be when looking for carp in the water.
The Ronnie sunglasses come in a choice of a matt tortoiseshell frame with brown polarised lenses, which is a great all-rounder; or matt black with polarised grey lenses, which is perfect in brighter conditions. They come supplied in a microfibre cloth case, which also doubles up as a cleaning cloth.
Korda Wraps Sunglasses
The Korda Wrap polarised sunglasses are brilliant for any outdoor sports, and not just fishing, plus can be worn when you’re away from the bank, such as when driving or on holiday.
Wrap style sunglasses are designed in such a way that, as the name suggests, they wrap around your face and minimise the light that can leak in through the sides and back of the lenses. That enhances visibility when looking into water, as well as keeping out glare even on the brightest days.
The frames are designed to hug around the sides of your head and ensure they won’t fall off when engaging in more vigorous activities such as climbing trees when looking for carp, or even out jogging when you aren’t fishing, whilst still feeling comfortable to wear, to the extent that you won’t even notice that have them on.
Not only do they look the part and offer great performance with a choice of gloss black frames and brown polarised lenses - ideal for brighter conditions; or gloss olive frames with yellow lenses – perfect for low light; but they also offer great value-for-money. They come in a cloth drawstring bag which doubles up as a lens cloth.
Korda Wraps Pro Sunglasses
The Korda Wraps Pro polarised sunglasses have all the attributes that made the original Wraps so popular, but with a few enhancements to make them even better.
They’re still a great choice for any outdoor activities, and when you aren’t fishing they’re perfect for walking the dog, going for a run, or any situation where you’d want to be wearing sunglasses.
These wrap-around style polarised sunglasses, not only cut out glare through the lenses and allow you to see further into the water than you could with your naked eye, but they also stop light from leaking in around the side of the frame. The thicker lenses, compared to the standard Wraps model, offer even better ploarisation and definition, and cut out more glare.
The Korda Wraps Pro will securely hug your head, ensuring that they stay in place as you move around, but still feel very comfortable to wear, especially as this latest version features rubberised nose pads for a perfect fit.
Available in gloss black frames with polarised brown lenses, for brighter conditions; or gloss green frames with polarised yellow lenses, which are great in lower light conditions, They come in a cloth drawstring bag, which doubles up as a cleaning cloth.
Korda Aviator Sunglasses
Aviator is a timeless classic style of sunglasses, which combines fashion with functionality.
These polarised sunglasses will look great and fit well, whatever shape your face is, and have been designed so that they are very comfortable to wear, and stay securely in place, whatever activity you're wearing them for.
The high quality polarised lens that has been used on the Aviator not only massively reduces glare, but also enhances colour and contrast, especially when looking into water.
They come in a choice of frame and lens colour combinations - tortoiseshell with brown lenses; or matt black with grey lens. A durable protective case and high quality lens cleaning cloth are supplied with them.
