Korda Classics and Wraps ranges are probably the most important item that will enhance your vision and keep your eyes protected

Polarised sunglasses explained - what are the benefits of our Pro collection?

The two most popular styles of Korda polarised sunglasses offer a model to suit any budget, but what makes the ‘Pro’ version worth the extra cost?

Classics and Wraps

Both the Korda Classics and Korda Wraps have been immensely popular since their launch, with these two completely different styles of frames offering something for everyone, whatever shape your face might be, and whether your preference is for a more traditional pair of sunglasses, or a wrap-around model.

A very lightweight model of polarised sunglasses to fit any face

Standard versions

Both are available as standard Classics or Wraps, which offer great performance for the money, thanks to the polarised lenses that have been used in each pair, and which cut out glare on even the brightest of days.

See through the water surface

This helps you to see through the water surface and enhancing your ability to spot fish, versus your naked eye.

These Korda glasses can be worn anywhere and eliminate glare

Higher performance Pro range

If you’re looking for a higher level of performance though, and the ability to cut out even more glare and spot fish in situations where you might not be able to with the standard versions, then the Korda Classics Pro and Korda Wraps Pro are definitely the models for you – which one you choose will come down to what type of frame you prefer.

Korda Classics and Classics Pro protect your eyes from glare whether on the bank angling, on an adventure, or away on holiday thanks to polarized lenses

Enhanced vision

Both of the Pro models feature thicker plastic lens, which not only makes them more durable and longer-lasting, but it also improves their ability to filter out more of the glare that would normally prevent you from seeing through the surface of water.

This means that you can see even deeper down into the river or lake.

Great choice for any water sport

This increased ability to filter out more of the glare also makes these lenses a great choice for all sorts of other activities, including driving and water sports.

Snug fitting design

All of these models - whether you go for the wrap around style of the Korda Wraps or the more conventional Korda Classics - have also been designed so that they fit snugly and stay securely in place whatever activity you are doing.

Each lightweight model can be safely stored in a drawstring bag or case, which is supplied with them, when not being worn.

Different lenses block light in most light conditions

The Classics Pro also offers more options than the standard Classics, with a choice of brown lenses, grey lenses or yellow lenses, to give you the ultimate performance, in terms of seeing further into the water, whatever light levels you are using them in.

Not only do these Korda sunglasses block out light when you want them to, when it is too bright, but on overcast days and in lower light conditions they will also allow you to make more use of the light that is available.

You can use that to your advantage when looking through the surface of the water to see further into it and with more clarity, which is what makes them so great for fishing.

See deeper with Korda Polarised Wraps and Classics

Polarised lenses not only reduce glare, but they also increase colour contrast meaning that whatever you are looking at appears crisper and more vivid than it would do to the naked eye in harsh lighting, almost giving it a high definition appearance in comparison.

Our sunglasses also offer UVA and UVB protection, plus are scratch resistant and have great durability.

Key features of our polarising sunglasses reduce eye strain

Plus of course filtering out more glare reduces the strain on your eyes and lessens the chances of ending up with a headache from squinting into the sun all day.

Especially in situations where glare can be very strong, such as when reflecting off of the surface of a lake.

Look great no matter which Korda Pro or Classics frames and lenses you choose to wear

Korda Polarised sunglasses - value for money

When it comes down to the price difference between the standard and Pro versions, that all comes down to the fact that we’ve used our 0.75 lenses on the cheaper model, which are slightly thinner but still provide you with great performance, and very good value-for-money at this lower price point.

Sunglasses are an important item for any outdoor pursuit, including fishing

The standard models will of course do all of this as well, but to a lesser extent, so if you really want the ultimate in performance, which could give you the edge over others around you, then the Pro models, with thicker lenses and more polarisation, are the ones to go for.

Functional and fashionable

Whichever model you ultimately choose you can be sure that they won't just offer great performance, but will also look the part when you are wearing them.

If you opt for the Pro models there is more choice of frame and lens combinations - whether you go for the gloss olive frames and yellow lens found on the Wraps, or tortoiseshell and brown lens combination which is one of the options on the Classics design, there will be something that is not only practical and will enhance visibility but also suits your personal taste and style.
