The new Korda Insulated range of clothing is the perfect choice to wear any time that you go outdoors during the cooler months of the year, and has been designed to keep you warm and snug, whilst also being incredibly comfortable to wear.
High performance exceptionally soft material
The Insulated range includes a Hooded Jacket and Joggers, and both have been made from materials that give a very high level of performance, but also ensure that both garments are very lightweight, relative to the level of performance, and pack down to a relatively small size, meaning they can easily be stored in a bag until needed.
The fabric that Korda has chosen for the outer shell is constructed from a mixture of 92% nylon and 8% Spandex, which allows it to be incredibly light, at 50gsm, but also is hard wearing enough that it will be able to withstand regular outdoor use in the countryside, and activities that involvement plenty of movement and put strain on the fabric – such as casting, or even just walking.
Water repellent outer fabric
This outer shell is also water repellent, so if you do happen to get caught outdoors in light rain – or even snow - the water will bead up and run off of it rather than soaking in straight away (it isn’t waterproof though and isn’t intended to be worn in heavy or prolonged rain).
Special filling to deliver exceptional warmth
Both the Insulated Hooded Jacket and Insulated Joggers are filled with 6oz insulation to provide superior warmth whatever weather conditions you find yourself in, and without being overly thick and heavy, as the material used traps body heat extremely well. So even when the temperature plummets you’ll still feel snug and warm, almost like you are wearing a duvet, but without the weight and bulk!
A soft 100% nylon lining has been used so that both garments feel comfortable to wear and allow for complete freedom of movement.

Perfect for everyday wear
Whilst both will prove very popular with anglers, they are also suited to many other outdoor activities, or even just walking the dog or going shopping in the winter, as the jacket can be worn on its own, with the addition of the trousers in situations where you will be exposed to the elements for a prolonged period of time.

Korda Insulated Hooded Jacket
One area of your upper body that can really feel the cold is your lower back, and especially so when engaging in any activity which involves bending or stretching, and which causes your jacket to ride up.
Tailored hood to provide optimal protection
So, Korda have tailored the Hooded Jacket so that it has an extended back panel to prevent this happening, and whether you’re standing or sitting, it will provide all the warmth and protection that you need. The waist is adjustable for a snug fit and to prevent any draughts entering.
Hoods often don’t do the job they’re intended to or won’t stay in place, so we have addressed that issue by making this one easily adjustable so that you can customise the fit however you want – whether that be an extra bit of warmth around your head and neck; or full coverage in the most extreme conditions where you are trying to cover as much of your head and face as possible to keep out the cold.
Chin guard effectively seals in body heat
The double sided chin guard which we have incorporated into the hood offers plenty of protection for your face and neck, and ensures that cold air and moisture is sealed out, but stills feels very comfortable to wear even if you have stubble or a beard.
Jacket features special cuffs
Another place where cold air can often enter your jacket is via the sleeves, so we have ensured that the cuffs are tailored to provide a snug fit to prevent that and to seal in warmth, whilst at the same time not being noticeably tight or uncomfortable thanks to the exceptionally soft material that has been used inside them against your skin.
Secure chest pocket for storing valuables
When you are out in extreme weather the last thing you want to do is unzip your jacket and let out all of the heat, just so you can access your mobile phone or similar, so we have incorporated a secure zipped chest pocket on the outside which can be used to store all your valuables.
There are also zipped hand warmer style pockets on each side that are perfect for keeping your hands warm, plus a heavy duty full length zip that has been designed so that it won’t allow cold draughts to enter through it.
Korda Insulated Joggers
One of the best ways to stay warm is to keep your body heat inside garments and to prevent cold air from entering, so these Insulated Joggers feature an elasticated waist along with a drawcord, so that you can achieve a snug fit that is also comfortable whatever position you are in.
Prevent cold air getting in
To prevent draughts from entering around your ankles, these Joggers feature ultra soft cuffs that provide a secure fit whilst still feeling incredibly comfortable. If wearing them with a pair of boots, they are designed to be worn inside, like a normal pair of joggers or trousers, and aren’t overly bulky.
Materials used to construct the Joggers allow wicking
The nylon interior lining means they are comfortable whether wearing them against your skin – the lining and filling helps to wick away moisture and prevent you from sweating – or in really extreme conditions, over the top of something like the Korda Kore Thermal Leggings.
Zipped side pockets are ideal for either keeping your hands warm or for storing items that you want easy access to without having to undo any outer layers to get to them.
