Original design signature Dark Kamo pattern
Korda boss Danny Fairbrass is a big fan of Dark Kamo, and his input was instrumental in the design, and he can regularly be seen wearing it on the bank whilst fishing, as well as when out filming with our cameramen.
Usually he will be sporting a variety of our Dark Kamo garments, as well as yet to be released clothing and forthcoming luggage items to look out for in the future.
Perfect pattern makes you hard to spot
He perfected the pattern using five different colours to make it as natural looking as possible, and the mottled design means that when you look at it in a similar coloured environment – such as that found in much of the UK and European countryside – your brain tends to automatically connect the lines of the coloured ‘blotches’ with those of the trees, ground, leaves, undergrowth and shadows behind it, thus making you harder to spot.
Blend in with your surroundings with camouflage clothing
This is what helps you to blend in with the background, rather than standing out against it - as you would do when wearing a colour that doesn’t match, or even a more natural solid colour, such as green or brown (both are less obtrusive but not to the same degree as camouflage is).
Become one with the natural world
The same is true when it comes to the animal world, including fish, with many species being camouflaged either to protect them from predators, or to make them harder for their prey to spot.
When it comes to fishing, we go to a lot of effort to make our rigs blend in, so it makes sense to do the same with ourselves, especially in situations where we might be spotted by our quarry and potentially spook them, or make the fish more wary due to our presence.
Korda Dark Kamo clothing - fashionable to wear anywhere
Plus of course camouflage is fashionable again these days, and the Dark Kamo pattern has now been used on a wide range of Korda products since it was first introduced, and has been applied to a number of our high grade fabrics, meaning that many of our most popular items of clothing are now available in this design.
There are plenty of people who wear it simply because it looks good, and often one or two items alongside our other colour products, rather than being decked from head-to-toe in it!

Camouflage gear designed using high quality fabrics
Our signature Dark Kamo pattern has been applied to a wide range of different fabrics, which have been used to create our extensive range of clothing, with everything from garments suitable for the depths of winter, through to those aimed at the warmer months.
That incudes everything from warm jackets, waterproof trousers, joggers, and extra under layer items, right through to a t-shirt in a range of colours and patterns, made from soft touch material that feels like peach skin, or even Quick Dry swimming shorts!
